Disney, Disney, DISNEY!!!

Ok, so I amAwritingAthis post on the eve of our final day at Disney World, Florida. Three action packed days and no, we did not see it all! So day 1, we spent the day at Magic Kingdom– home of Cinderella’s Castle, Pirates of the Caribbean and the spinning tea cups. One of the most iconic parks of Disney, what wasAmeantAto only be a 1/2 day- turned into a full day in a blink of an eye. starting in Tomorrow land, our first ride was with Buzz Lightyear andAbecomingAa StarACommander followed by a visit to the Monsters Inc. laugh floor. With the day moving along, we headed to the Disney Hollywood Studios where weAexperiencedAthe Star Wars ‘Star Tours’ ride, watched the 3d Muppets show and got a autograph and photo with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story (autograph for Nephew Oliver).

After all the walking of day 1, day 2 was a little more slow paced. As we missed the Pirates of the Caribbean ride on day 1, we headed back to Magic Kingdom early to catch the rideAbeforeAthe crowd, then down to 1 of the 2 water parks – Blizzard Beach. The theme of the park – Legend has it that a freak snowstorm hit Florida and a ski resort was built, but the sunshine melted it into some of the fastest, longest downhill thrills and fun pools. Arriving back at Epcot after 5 hours ofAwatersidesAand pools, we had some time to kill before the shuttle bus was returning to the hotel – there we rode the Spaceship earth ride (inside the giant golf ball thing) and the Nemo underwater ride. upon arriving back at the hotel – we noticed that a backpack was missing, containing our swimmers (no wallets or cash, thank god).

So today was day 3 – and after making several calls to the shuttle bus company and Disney, turns out our backpack was on the Shuttle bus this morning awaiting us (after buying another set of swimmers) and we set off for our third and final day at Disney. With our 2 set’s of swimmer in had – we hit the otherAwater park, Typhoon Lagoon. Imagine a tropical paradise emerging from a furious storm, with a shrimp boat as its landmark and one of theAlargestAwave pools. Unfortunately when we arrived the attractions were closed due to the thunderstorm – after eating some lunch though, the rides re-opened and we managed to go on the ones we wanted (including the snorkel in salt waterAwithAsharks and sting rays). With the rainAreturning, it was time to head back to the hotel and rest up, ready for Universal Studios tomorrow.
